About me

As an Umbraco Specialist & Lead Full Stack .NET Developer at Method4 in Cardiff, I build bespoke Umbraco solutions for public and private sector clients.

A graduate of Aberystwyth University, I hold a BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, with First Class Honours.

I'm also a co-founder of YnChwarae, a Welsh-language video gaming channel, which helps promote the use of the Welsh language in video games!

What I do

C#, .NET Web Apps, REST

Industry experience of developing full stack .NET (Framework & Core) web applications using C# for national and commercial clients. Also experienced in creating RESTful web services for database endpoints.

HTML, CSS, Sass

Over 5 years worth of industry experience designing and building bespoke responsively designed websites, using HTML and Sass, for national clients.

Umbraco, Microsoft Azure, SQL

4x Umbraco MVP & Certified Expert with years of industry experience in creating and supporting Umbraco 7, 8, 9 & 10+ websites for commercial clients. Good knowledge of using Microsoft Azure to host load-balanced client websites that utilise numerous Azure technologies including blob storage, Azure Cognitive Search and Azure CDN.

JavaScript, npm, Webpack

Experience writing JavaScript & TypeScript for clients' websites including supporting an internal Angular based web system for a national organisation. Also experienced in using npm and Webpack, in Visual Studio projects, to improve project workflow.

MVC Architecture

Good knowledge of the MVC (Model-View-Controller) architectural design pattern for designing and developing clean and maintainable code.

Agile Methodologies, SCRUM

The Professional Scrum Master I certification with years of industry experience of working with the Scrum agile methodology.

UmbraCymru Umbraco Meetup

I am the lead organiser of the UmbraCymru Umbraco meetup/user group based in Cardiff; we run monthly Umbraco meetups and alternate between in-person, at the Method4 office, and online via Zoom.
